He is one of the most recorded pianists of his generation with nearly 250 recorded works, including numerous world premieres for EMI Classics, Carlton Classics, Helicon, Koch International Classics, MSR Classics, Pro Arte, Sony Classics, Vox and other labels. His landmark recordings on the Wergo label earned him acclaim worldwide as the foremost exponent of John Cage but his long time collaborations with composers from John Cage, to Morton Gould, to Elmer Bernstein to Miklos Rosza earned him a reputation as a champion of contemporary music.
Award winning violinist Andrew Smith has appeared as a soloist with orchestras in Europe, America and China. Lauded for his "virtuoso playing" he made his London Debut at the Royal Festival Hall at the age of 23 and has appeared at the British Embassy in Paris, The Royal Festival Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Edinburgh International Festival, Chicago's Symphony Hall, Detroit's Orchestra Hall, Le Salle Gaveau, Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall.
